A series of 12 hours long hackathons, conducted on biweekly/monthly basis. Participants would attend workshops, learn new technologies, share ideas, develop projects and also compile their projects into research papers and present them at conferences of their choice. I have used this kind of methodology in the past year and saw great results. This would be an ideal peer supported learning platform.
